Services held for Kenneth Green at St. Paul Methodist, 60

Family and friends gathered on Saturday, March 16th, 2024, at St. Paul United Methodist Church to celebrate the life of Kenneth Wayne Green.

The service, held under the direction of McFarland Funeral Home, honored a man loved by many.

Kenneth, or “Kenny” or “Green” as he was affectionately called, was born in Monroe, Louisiana on February 20th, 1964. The third child of the late Herman Joe Allen Jr. and Ramona Marie Carridine, Kenneth found faith at a young age, joining St. Paul United Methodist Church under the leadership of John Tellis. His late maternal grandparents, Roosevelt Green and Cleola Carridine, also played a significant role in his upbringing.

Described as someone cherished by all ages, Kenneth had a kind and open demeanor that made him easy to talk to.

On March 4th, 2024, Kenneth sadly passed away. Though mourned, he leaves behind a legacy of love. Predeceased by his father, Herman Joe Allen Jr., and brother, David Wayne, Kenneth is survived by his wife, Berdetta Lynn Green, and their five daughters: Kendrea Murray, Stepanie Gayden, Romessia Williams, Shetakia Murray, and Lachandra Adams. Additionally, he is remembered by his two step-sons, Quinton La-Poole and Demarcus Boo Duncan, his mother Ramona Marie Carridine, sisters Angela Taylor, Lisa Allen, Lynn Allen, Tanya Green, and Shalandra Bethley, brothers Warren Green, Terry Allen, and Thirsten Mayfield, nineteen grandchildren, and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Kenneth Green’s life touched many, and his memory will continue to be cherished by all who knew him.
