We must trust God with our lives

By Lisa Wilmore

Dear Hearts,

I greet you in the only name that matters-that name is Jesus, the anointed One-our everlasting, eternal and endless Savior. We must trust in Him; the One who will never fail us.
Someone may be worried about what the future holds during our remaining time on earth. There may even be concerns with what is ahead of us as we move into the election of a new president of the United States of America. Please rest and know that whatever happens, “God will fight for us and triumph over our enemies.”

As believers in Christ, we must pray and seek God for answers in dealing with what-ever we are faced with as we journey through this life. Whatever the righteous need, God is always there to heed our call according to His will. In fact, as recorded in Psalm 34:15, “The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.” God hears and answers our prayers.

Interestingly, sometimes fear becomes a factor; however, we do not have to fear anything knowing that God is on our side. Be reminded that “God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and a sound mind” (2 Tim 1:7 KJV).

To make mentioned of, the biblical account noted in 2 Chronicles, Jehoshaphat was faced with a multitude of enemies and became afraid. “Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the Lord, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah. The people of Judah came together to seek help from the Lord; indeed, they came from every town in Judah to seek him” (2 Chronicles 20:3?-?4 NIV). Significantly, they did not take matters into their own hands; however, they sought God’s help. So, when you are approached by the evils of this world, do not forfeit peace and victory by dealing with the issue alone. Seek God for help!?

When fear is present, do not look for strength in others. Find strength in God. Most importantly, “We must trust in God. The One who will never fail us.
My friends, when God sent Jesus to earth to be a substitute for us because of our death penalty, He revealed how much he loved and still loves us; and He will never fail us. He knows and sees what is and what is to come. We must trust Him; our lives are depending on it.
