The Louisiana Supreme Court on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 upheld a civil service board’s decision to reduce the punishment for former Monroe interim police chief Reginald Brown from termination to a 90-day suspension without pay, clarifying the roles of administrative boards and courts in reviewing employee discipline.
“It’s been a long five years of prayer, but we feel justified,” said Reginald Brown. He said he is relieved. He said he plans to get his back pay for three and a half years and return to work as a Monroe City Sergeant.
