Attorney Adam Cossey has announced his candidacy for 4th Judicial District Judge, serving Ouachita and Morehouse Parishes. There are two, possibly more, open positions created by the retiring of district judges. Attorney Mario Leija announced some time ago that he is running for the open seat created by the retiring of Judge Wilson Rambo and Adam will not run for that seat.
Over the past 18 years, Adam has litigated cases across Louisiana and throughout the country, handling matters ranging from complex civil litigation and constitutional issues to property disputes and everyday legal matters. He has represented clients before nine different state and federal appellate courts, including the United States Supreme Court, where he successfully represented a local business.
Adam’s extensive legal experience has given him a unique perspective on how courts can best serve the public.
“I have been fortunate to gain experience in courtrooms across Louisiana and across the nation,” Cossey said. “I have seen what works well and what can work better. I want to bring that experience home and use it to help our local court deliver justice fairly, efficiently, and with respect for every person who comes before it.”
Adam is married to Lindsey Cossey, a teacher at West Monroe High School. Together, they have two children, Emilia (5) and Thomas (2).
