The Monroe Free Press offices have moved.
The Wright companies which operated out of a facility at 216 Collier Street, has moved to a new location at 507 N. 17th Street. The 29,000 square foot facility will house the offices of the Free Press, ProWorks Productions, Black Sugar, LLC, and Sermonideas.com, all companies operated by members of the Wright family.
The Monroe Free Press is one of the city’s oldest Black businesses and is one of the largest Black newspapers in the state.
“We welcome friends to drop by and sit a spell. Our historical full front tributes to the communities heroes decorate our walls as we acknowledge that we stand on the shoulders of the giants who have come before us,” said Roosevelt Wright, Jr., publisher.
