After 44 years, Nurse Blanson retires at Mary Goss Nursing Home

After an illustrious 44-year career dedicated to caring for the elderly, Marilyn Blanson has retired from her role as Assistant Nursing Director at Mary Goss Nursing Home, a cornerstone institution in the community and the area’s oldest Black-owned nursing home.

This week, Marilyn was honored with a retirement party that celebrated not just her tenure but the profound impact she has had on the lives of the residents and her colleagues.

Marilyn’s journey at Mary Goss began fresh out of school, initially as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her dedication and passion for nursing quickly saw her rise through the ranks to Licensed Practical Nurse and, ultimately, Assistant Director of Nursing.
