Monroe Black Chamber seeks funds from the City of Monroe
At Tuesday night’s Monroe City Council Meeting, Kenya Roberson, president of the Monroe Regional Black Chamber of Commerce asked the council for funding. She said the Black chamber deserves the same attention in funding as the Monroe Chamber of Commerce.
“I ask that funds be allocated to our entity as they are to the Monroe Chamber. I want you all to go back and look at your budget before the year begins and allocate funds to us as well,” Roberson said.
