Friends and family are praying for the rapid recovery of community leader and former city council chair lady Betty Blakes.
Blakes was hospitalized last week after a fall in her home. She broke bones in her legs and ankles and will require a few months of rehabilitation.
Blakes is in good spirits but is naturally frustrated about the injury.
She and her family thanks the public for their concern and prayers.
