Board approves contracts for co-superintendents, doubling costs

The Monroe City School board now has two interim superintendents that it has hired to do the work of one.

Tuesday night, the board approved contracts for Rev. Sam Moore and Dr. Serena White, to serve as co-superintendents until April 30, 2024.

The board approved their contracts on Tuesday night but refrained from posting these documents online or detailing their respective salaries and duties during the meeting.

The Free Press has acquired copies of both contracts, revealing that each will earn an annual salary of $162,500, equating to $13,541.66 per month, along with a $500 monthly car allowance.
