A $20,000 merit pay bonus for Dr. Eric Davis was tabled last week, after board members expressed reservations about both the amount and procedure used to push the bonus through.
The board in its regular meeting Thursday night, voted to refer a resolution granting $20,000 to Carroll Principal Eric Davis to the policy committee after several board members announced reservations.
Board member B.J. Johnson said he heard rumblings in the community that Dr. Davis was promised a $20,000 payment to move from Wossman High School to Carroll.
Johnson said anything that Dr. Davis was promised he should receive but giving large cash bonuses to principals for site moves would be troublesome.
