The clock is ticking on a recall petition against Monroe City Council Chairperson Kema D. Robinson.
According to the Ouachita Parish Registrar of Voters, the petition was authorized by the governor on September 7, 2022. The six-month deadline to get the 1,900 names needed to force a recall election will be up by the close of business on March 7, 2023.
The petition was filed by Gwen Dickson and is being coordinated by Marie Brown and Verbon Muhammad.
