Commission approves Southside 25-year development plan, city council next

The Southside 25-year plan for economic development came one step closer to approval Monday after the Monroe Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend its adoption by the Monroe City Council.

The 38-page plan is the blueprint for economic development in South Monroe over the next 25 years. It was unanimously approved by the Southside Economic Development District’s Board of Directors in its March 7, 2022, meeting.
