Cooper says new board members blindsided by MLK vote, upset

Betty Cooper, city school board member from District 5, forwarded a public response to the city school board’s decision to build a new MLK in a flood zone, whose contract provided for no black or women subcontractors. She accused the superintendent and board leaders for a lack of leadership. The following is her response:
