Court sentences Player in simple assault, jail time suspended

It took a year to come to a close but a Monroe City Court Judge has finally made a decision in the case of the Award-winning band director of the Carroll High School Marching band who was arrested on charges of simple assault against a student.

Last week DeSaree Player was found guilty of the simple assault after a trial several weeks ago. Mrs. Player was sentenced to three months in jail, but the sentence was suspended.
