According to Monroe Police Puckett, 21 of 5200 Highland Rd, came to the Bernstein Park zoo at about 11 p.m. when they received a complaint about a firearm being discharged in the park.
When officers arrived they reported seeing a suspicious vehicle leaving the scene. When they stopped the vehicle Puckett admitted to shooting his gun in the park.
He was arrested and charged with illegal use of weapons or dangerous instruments.
