Former Wossman principal, state’s top high school principal, takes over at Carroll High
The newsfeeds of Facebook pages were flooded this week with sentiments and well wishes to Dr. Eric Davis on his new appointment as principal of Carroll High School. Davis is the former principal of Wossman High School and is the 2019 Louisiana High School Principal of the Year.
Is he the man for the job?
Dr. Davis has an education career spanning two decades. The first of his immediate family to earn a college degree, he knows the importance of education and setting goals early. He told reporters earlier this year that he had no interest in administration, but decided to be prepared.
“A group of us who coached together decided that maybe one day we might want to do this administration thing, so let’s go ahead and do the master’s degree program at ULM just in case. We did it as a group,” he said.
