One of the great legends of black business and civic leadership in Northeast Louisiana, Henry Cotton, has died.
He was the former mayor of the City of Bastrop.
Cotton’s family announced his passing on Sunday, March 15, in a heartfelt social media post.
“It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Dad, Henry Charles Cotton. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and mentor. He will truly be missed, but we will cherish the moments that created lasting memories.”
