Dispute over school pizza delivery ends with Principal’s suspension

There’s a substitute principal in place at Minnie Ruffin, that’s because the school’s principal has been asked to step aside for a few days while a complaint against her is investigated.

The complaint involves a dispute between Jennett Hunter, Minnie Ruffin’s principal, and one of the school’s teachers, over the delivery of Johnny’s Pizza.

School staff report that last Friday Hunter ordered 50 pizzas to be delivered for students from a Johnny’s Pizza outlet. The school received a discount for the large order.

The teacher, without authorization, reportedly left campus and went to Johnny’s to order a pizza for herself. This order was not a part of the school’s order. Johnny’s staff recognized the teacher as a Minnie Ruffin instructor and asked…
