Duo finds business success exterminating roaches, termites, and rats

In the heart of Northeast Louisiana, two African-American entrepreneurs are making their mark in the pest control industry. Tron Belle and Derrick Dossom, co-owners of Dossom Extermination, have been successfully operating their business for 12 years, serving homes within a 50-mile radius of Monroe.

Belle and Dossom’s success story is particularly noteworthy given the relatively low representation of African-Americans in the pest control industry. According to recent statistics, only 12.6% of pest control technicians in the United States are Black or African-American.
