Locally, Lonnie Hudson was elected as the Police Juror for District F.
and Dana Benson was elected Clerk of Court.
On the strength of a resurgence of Black voters across the state, Governor Edwards polled 774,498 votes. His opponent Eddie Rispone received 734,286.
Kyle Ardoin polled 867,607 (59%) to the 601,126 votes of his opponent Gwen “Collins Greeunup for the secretary of state’s office.
Hudson received 3,605 votes. His opponent Rolland Edwards, received 3,336 votes.
Benson defeated veteran politician Mike Walsworth 24,918 to 23,963.
