Foster Heights murder suspect charged

A domestic dispute turned deadly in the early hours of Saturday, July 20, 2024, leading to a homicide investigation by the Monroe Police Department.

At approximately 2:20 AM, officers responded to a call on Barrington Drive, where they encountered Kialynshia Jordan, who allegedly informed authorities that she had shot the victim.

According to official records, Jordan was detained and waived her Miranda Rights. She admitted to officers that an argument with the victim had escalated into a physical altercation. Surveillance footage reviewed by the police allegedly showed the victim pushing Jordan into some shrubbery.

Following this incident, Jordan reportedly entered a nearby residence to retrieve a handgun. She then confronted the victim outside, where the situation took a tragic turn.

Authorities state that Jordan allegedly fired two shots at the victim, who attempted to flee the scene. The victim was later pronounced dead, having suffered two gunshot wounds to the back.

Jordan has been jailed on charges of 2nd degree murder with a $100,000 bond.
