Gloria Blondell Spivey, a beloved mother, grandmother, and lifelong resident of northeastern Louisiana, passed away on November 1, 2024, at the age of 67.
Born February 20, 1957, in Monroe, Louisiana to Alonzo and Mattie Taylor Sr., Spivey grew up in the Bonne Idee community of Mer Rouge as the youngest of eight children. After graduating from Delta High School in 1975, she married John W. Spivey, who preceded her in death in 1994. Together they raised six children.
