Glover’s bill would make pot almost legal in Louisiana, no jail, $100 fine

If a bill passed by the Louisiana House of Representatives becomes simple possession of Marijuana in Louisiana may be reduced to a slap on the wrist instead of major jail time.

  The bill (HB652) is sponsored by Shreveport Representative Cedric Glover. It reduces the fine for possession of 14 grams or less of marijuana to $100 for the first offense.
