Family and friends are mourning the passing of Denise Marie Perkins; her graveside services will be Saturday.
Ms. Perkins passed away due to a lengthy illness on May 2, 2020, at St. Francis Medical Center. Her death was not COVID-19 related.
Ms. Perkins was a retired paraprofessional with Monroe City Schools after 25 years of service. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Ms. Perkins was a true servant where she served as a devoted usher at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church of Monroe, LA. Denise severed faithfully as President of the Senior Usher Ministry until her passing. Her memory will forever be with many in the community for the many lives that she has touched.
Denise was a member of the CHS Bulldogs c/o’78.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Mother-Maerell Perkins, Son-Terrius Perkins, and Daughter-Natasha McClain. Siblings – Sylvester Robinson and Pamela Bolton-Jones. Other memories will be cherished by granddaughter- Kaiylen McClain and god grandson -Terence Williams, Jr.
Denise will join her departed Godchild Keisha Clark-Williams and granddaughter Kylee Perkins who is resting with her now in the arms of Our Savior JESUS CHRIST.
Visitation Viewing will be Friday, May 8, 2020, from 1:00 pm -4:30 pm at Miller’s Funeral Home.
Graveside Service will be Saturday, May 9, 2020, at 1:00 pm at Richwood Memorial Gardens.
