On December 13, 2024, we said our final goodbye to a remarkable man, Rechard Antonio Wagner, known to all who loved him as Tony, Tone Loc, or GP. For three years, Tony fought a courageous battle against cancer, displaying a strength and resilience that inspired everyone around him. His daily battle, though grueling, never wavered in spirit, and his strength became a beacon of hope for those who knew him.
Throughout his journey, Tony never once complained. Despite the unimaginable pain, he would simply say, “I’m always in pain, but I just tough through it.” His unwavering resilience and determination were a reflection of his deep love for his family, his unbreakable bond with those he held dear, and his innate sense of responsibility as a protector.
Tony wasn’t just a brother; he was a best friend, a guide, and a constant source of wisdom and strength. Growing up together, he was always there for me, a protector and a mentor. When our father passed, Tony made a promise to take care of me and our mother — a promise he honored with love and commitment every single day. His leadership and guidance, both in moments of joy and hardship, left a lasting mark on my life and on the lives of all who knew him.
Tony’s life was not defined by the hardships he faced, but by the love and care he gave to those around him. He was a man who used his head for more than a hat rack, excelling in everything he pursued with a quiet wisdom that only a big brother could provide. His devotion to family, his kindness, and his strength will never be forgotten.
Though the world feels emptier without him, I find comfort in knowing that Tony will always be with me. His spirit remains, watching over me as he did in life — strong, loving, and ever-present.
Tony, you were deeply loved, and you will always be missed. You left an indelible mark on my heart and in the hearts of all who knew you. Rest in peace, my dear brother.
Your Sister Richelle…
