Jack and Jill kids hear Wright’s challenge to pursue their dreams

Roosevelt Wright, Jr., publisher of the Free Press, delivered an inspiring address as the keynote speaker for the Local Jack and Jill organization’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day event. The program, held on the King Holiday, featured a morning of community service followed by a learning session designed to educate students about Dr. King’s legacy.

During his address, Wright engaged with the children, emphasizing the importance of their own aspirations.

“Dr. King had a dream, but each one of you has dreams too,” he told the audience.

In response, the children shared their hopes, voicing ambitions to become doctors, engineers, actors, and NBA stars.
