Sunrise: May 28th, 1956 – Sunset: June 19th, 2022

Funeral services for Joe Cooper will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Miller Funeral Home chapel.

Joe Nathan Cooper was adopted by Tom & Mary Cooper. He attended Grambling State University. He received his Associate Degree at Southern Univ.- Shreveport. Work Experiences: Kelly’s Ironworks (many other odd jobs). Military Services: US Navy.

Joe led a very “colorful” life; with many travels here and there. He had a very creative mind and broad vocabulary. Joe had ambitions, but circumstances prevented him from reaching his potential. Joe simply made some bad choices. Sometimes life can present circumstances that will control our lives if one does not have self-control.

Joe Cooper was thoughtful and caring about his family.

His ultimate goal was to be a successful, professional person. Cherishing his memories are: one daughter Michelle Bryant-Ricks, one son-in-law Jason Ricks; two grandchildren, Jada Bryant and Jeremiah Ricks. Two sisters, Dora Adams and Cora DeBurr and one brother Henry B. Little.

“Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 1:3.
