A Monroe man who said he was defending his brother has been charged with the murder of one victim and the attempted murder of another in the aftermath of a shootout at a Winnsboro Road business.
Monroe police have charged Jarvis L. Johnson, of 1501 S. 10th Street, with the murder of David “Fatdude” Jackson, after a shootout at a Winnsboro Road gas station Tuesday.
The Monroe Police Department says it happened just before 4 p.m. Tuesday.
