Jury convicts Hammer murderer in just two hours

It only took two hours for a local jury to convict a Monroe man of second-degree murder, a verdict that will probably mean life in prison.

Last week a jury unanimously convicted Lester Ramsey, Jr. of second-degree murder of Cadarion “Nuuk” Buggs in February of 2020.

In the trial, prosecutors Kalee Moore and Gary Blaylock told the jury that Ramsey beat Buggs in the head with a hammer, wrapped his body in a rug and dumped his body in an alley.
