Monroe residents facing financial challenges this holiday season will have an opportunity to receive a free Thanksgiving turkey, thanks to the generosity of a local businessman and the Monroe Chamber of Commerce.
Christopher Lewis, owner of West Monroe Coney Island, in partnership with the Monroe Chamber of Commerce, will distribute over 400 turkeys during a drive-through giveaway event. The distribution will take place Saturday, November 23, 2024, beginning at 8 a.m. in the Monroe Civic Center parking lot.
