Local NAACP leader arrested for beating her boyfriend

Mondrian Douglas, 32, of 5513 Long Drive, and the current chairperson of the Legal Redress Committee of the Ouachita Parish NAACP, was arrested on October 9, 2023, in connection with an alleged incident that took place on Sunday, October 8th.

Douglas, who is also preparing for a candidacy in the upcoming District 5 City Council race scheduled for March 2024, is charged with battery of a dating partner. According to the police report, Douglas is accused of battering her “off and on partner for two years.”
