Man arrested for barking at and punching neighbor’s Dog

Raymond Ray Lewis, Jr., was arrested on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, after a series of incidents involving his neighbor and her dog. According to the Monroe Police Report, the incident began on Monday, April 22, when Lewis was observed outside the victim’s house making gestures and barking sounds at her dog, which was on her property.

As the victim attempted to bring her dog inside, Lewis allegedly approached her, swinging his arms with closed fists. The victim reported that she felt she was about to be physically assaulted. In response, she retreated into her home, but Lewis attempted to open her door.

Despite the victim repeatedly asking Lewis to leave her property, he refused. The situation escalated when Lewis punched the victim’s dog three times with his closed fist.

A witness at the scene provided an account that matched the victim’s description of the events.

As a result of his actions, Raymond Ray Lewis, Jr. has been charged with cruelty to animals, simple assault, and criminal trespass.

When questioned by police, Lewis stated that he remembered talking to the victim about her dog but claimed to have no recollection of the other events.

The incident has left the victim shaken and concerned for the safety of both herself and her pet. The case is now being processed through the local court system, and Lewis will face the consequences of his alleged actions.
