This year, the City was joined by the Zeta Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, who provided additional food so that each turkey was given out with items to create a full Thanksgiving meal.
The event was held outside the Monroe Convention Center. Cars lined up to receive a bird just in time for Thanksgiving.
More than 150 turkeys were given away.
