Residents of West Monroe who know Christopher Lewis, know his past, but most importantly, they know his present, so it’s not surprising that many leading West Monroe Citizens would nominate Lewis to help the city find a new police chief – even if Lewis has a tinged past.
Lewis a West Monroe businessman, operates the Coney Island Connection on North 7th Street. Many of his customers, which include some of West Monroe’s elite, think he is the perfect example of rehabilitation, so much so that Mayor Staci Mitchell took citizens’ recommendations and named him to an advisory committee that will help select West Monroe’s new police chief.
