The victim stated the arrestee pulled her hair and then grabbed her by her throat. The victim said the arrestee impeded her breathing to the point she was in fear she would pass out. The victim told Deputy when Williams let her go, she went into the living room of their residence. The victim also informed the deputy the arrestee collected her car keys and cell phone so she could not leave the residence or contact anyone for assistance. Williams then entered the living room, grabbed her by her arm and pulled her into the bedroom. The victim said Williams told her to get on the bed and once she did, he began having sex with her without her consent.

The Deputy observed marks on the victim’s neck/shoulder area consistent with her testimony. Deputy made contact with Williams at their residence. In a post-Miranda interview, arrestee admitted to being in a physical altercation with the victim. He stated he did have sex with the victim, but it was with her consent. Williams advised he did take the victims cell phone due to him not wanting her to reach out to her parents. Atriss Lamar Williams was booked and charged with domestic abuse battery-strangulation, 3rd-degree rape and false imprisonment.
