Louisiana public schools are bracing for a major shift in accountability as the state prepares to implement the “Grow.Achieve.Thrive.” (GAT) system in August, replacing the long-standing LEAP 2025 Accountability Program.
Monroe City Schools Superintendent Rev. Sam Moore, III addressed the upcoming changes Wednesday, acknowledging the challenges ahead while expressing confidence in the district’s ability to adapt.
“These new standards are tougher, and the biggest impact will be felt at the high school level,” Moore said.
