Mother dies crossing Highway 165, Moore says crosswalks needed

For years, pedestrians along the 165 highway have been the subject of fatalities and injuries, as they attempt to cross the busy highway. It’s a problem Pat Moore has been trying to resolve for four years.

Sunday another resident was killed trying to cross the highway, due to the lack of crosswalks for pedestrians. Sunday 38-year-old Gloria Anderson of Monroe was attempting to cross the highway with her two children and was hit by a vehicle being driven by 37-year-old, Robert Lloyd.
