Mother of six raising six honor students, graduates herself

FraTonna Williams is a 38 year old divorcee with six children. Without welfare, she is raising a family of scholars while pursuing her own dreams at the same time. Last week, she received her B.A. from Maryville University. She plans to be a doctor.

It’s 6 AM on a Monday, and FraTonna Williams is already up preparing breakfast and lunches before rousing her six children for school. Just a glimpse into the busy life of this 38-year-old single mom, substitute teacher, honor student, and future surgeon.

Williams’ organizational skills are the stuff of legend. Her days start early and end late as she bounces between part-time work at multiple schools, shuttling kids to activities, and squeezing in online classes for her own degree.
