Music Mogul “Master P” to be GSU commencement speaker

Music industry pioneer and entrepreneur Percy “Master P” Miller will deliver the keynote address at Grambling State University’s Fall 2024 commencement ceremony on December 13 at 10 a.m. in the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.

The New Orleans native revolutionized the music industry through “No Limit Records,” an independent label that sold over 100 million records worldwide and launched the careers of prominent artists including Snoop Dogg, Mia X, and Silkk the Shocker. Miller’s entrepreneurial success extends across multiple sectors, including film production, luxury goods, apparel, and food distribution through Miller Family Foods.

Before his business success, Miller had a brief NBA career with the Charlotte Hornets and Toronto Raptors. Recently appointed as New Orleans’ ambassador of entertainment, he established the Nola Walk of Fame to commemorate influential New Orleanians.
