Plans underway to Charter Neville High School

Sources close to a planning group have confirmed that efforts are in progress to convert Neville High School into a charter school. The transition is expected to be initiated this October, with the school potentially becoming a Type 3 charter school in August of 2025.

A Type 3 charter school is defined as a pre-existing public school converted and operated under a charter agreement between a nonprofit corporation and the local school board. This move would grant Neville High School more autonomy in its operations while remaining within the public school system.
