Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® – Omicron Iota Omega Chapter presented five Precious Pearl debutantes along with their escorts to society during their 19th Annual Cotillion.
Ms. Erika Payne, Precious Pearls Clinic Director, stated, “This year really enabled me to see the connections and friendships that were established. Our cohort was extremely gifted and talented, whether musically or artistically, and I enjoyed their inquisitive nature and that they were unafraid to ask for clarification.”
The coming of age tradition with a modern twist marked the successful culmination of the debutantes participation in community service projects, informative workshops, college readiness, and etiquette activities. The elegant event showcased live music with a special performance by contemporary concert pianist, Amarion Jackson.
Omicron Iota Omega Chapter President, Dr. Gloria J. George, said, “Being able to see how they have evolved and matured over the last 7 months is such a blessing. Their excitement gets me excited. The night of the Cotillion is always so beautiful and memorable.” Congratulations to the 2022-2023 Precious Pearl Debutantes, who through it all, remained polite, poised, and polished.
