The on-again-off-again drama of former Monroe Police Chief Reggie Brown’s termination, then rehiring, has taken another twist; he’s been fired again.

As of Tuesday, December 6, 2022, the firing of the embattled former chief is on again after the city, determined to fire him, appealed the decision of its own civil service board to rehire him and 4th District Court Judge Daniel Ellender upheld the decision.

That means Brown has been fired again. No badge. No gun. No paycheck.
