Richwood drops speeding charges after suit

If you get a speeding ticket in the mail from the Town of Richwood’s new automated ticket system, what should you do?

Some have paid the $180 fines, but at least one man filed suit to challenge the legality of his three tickets. On top of that, the Town’s top leaders are in dispute about the legality of the tickets.

When Aaron Rayburn, owner of Angelina’s Bailbonds on Highway 165, received three tickets from Richwood’s automated system, he challenged the legality of the tickets and sued the Town.
