Rooted: Local woman bottles healthy juices, reflecting family roots

Nina Johnson turned her family roots into a life mission bottling healthy juices from her Monroe home and marketing them across the USA.

At seven years old, Nina Johnson prepared her first homecooked meal consisting of fried chicken, rice and gravy, and greens. Cooking and preparing hearty meals has always been a passion of hers. The inspiration comes from her mother who was a dietician at a local nursing home. Nina watched her mom prepare food for the elderly to not only feed their hunger but nurture them to good health. For Nina, cooking and preparing food was also therapeutic.
