Rev. John L. Russell, II is the son of Rev. and Mrs. John L. Russell, Sr. He received his early education in Monroe City and Ouachita Parish School District. He accepted his call to the ministry in May of 1989. He received his license to preach the gospel in July of 1989. He was ordained to the ministry November 19, 1996 at the Macedonia Baptist Church.
