Sabrina Racer announces Clerk of Court bid

The anticipation surrounding the October 14th election intensified as Sabrina Racer unveiled her candidacy for the position of Ouachita Parish Clerk of Court. With a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted commitment to public service, Racer aims to bring fresh perspectives and dedicated leadership to this crucial role.

Racer describes herself as “a first-generation Italian and Spanish-American.” She radiates enthusiasm as she steps into the arena of public service. Her aspiration to serve Ouachita Parish is rooted in more than 30 years of experience in diverse legal environments, including private law offices and clerks of court offices, coupled with assisting the judiciary in various capacities.

The past 17 years have seen Racer in the role of Judicial Executive Assistant, Division A, with the Fourth Judicial District Court of Louisiana, serving both the Parish of Ouachita and the Parish of Morehouse. Her responsibilities have entailed working closely with the computer systems and records of the Clerk’s office, providing her with an intricate understanding of its operations.

In her announcement, Racer emphasized her commitment to being a public servant for all citizens of Ouachita Parish. Her experiences within the system have instilled in her the values of openness and accountability, which she pledges to uphold while serving the community with impartiality and fairness.

Racer’s vision for the Clerk’s office centers on making access to information easy, cost-effective, and convenient for the public. She believes in harnessing the office’s capabilities to fulfill the public’s right to obtain information seamlessly.
