Sampson named new principal of Wossman High School

In a remarkable career progression, Mrs. Dena Sampson has been appointed as the new principal of “The” Wossman High School.

Monroe City School System Superintendent Rev. Sam Moore, III, confirmed Sampson’s appointment Monday. Four years ago, Sampson was teaching kindergarten in the district but was educationally “locked and loaded,” prepared, certified, and waiting for her chance.

Mrs. Sampson, who was serving as the assistant principal at Wossman, will replace Dr. Harrington Watson, III, who has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer for the District. Her appointment is a testament to…
