In February of this year, South Monroe residents were upset to learn of plans to reroute traffic on Highway 165 that interrupt traditional traffic flows. This Saturday, a public hearing about the proposed changes will be held at the Rose of Sharon Baptist Church to answer questions and get community input.
Saturday’s meeting from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. is being sponsored by the State Department of Transportation and the black state legislators: Katrina Jackson, Adrian Fisher, and Pat Moore.
DOT leaders will unveil their design proposal and then get input from the public.
