Bessie Mae Smith Bowers, a State of Louisiana, Parish of Ouachita Election Commissioner and retired educator with Monroe City Schools, transitioned on February 6, 2025. Service arrangements are as follows:
Visitation: Friday, February 14, 2025, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm followed by Family Hour, 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm in the Alice Mae Chapel of Miller Funeral Home.
The “Celebration of Life” Service will be held Saturday, February 15, at 11:00 am at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church.
