The Southside Economic Development District will host its final community meeting on Thursday, July 27, when it presents neighborhood plans for all three Southside Districts at the regular meeting of the NAACP.
Tony Little, president of SEDD, said the district is presenting its proposed model neighborhoods for community input throughout the month of July to make adjustments in selected neighborhoods.
Little said the model neighborhoods will be the focus of its efforts in the coming months. They will serve as prototypes of what SEDD wants for all of South Monroe.
Last week, the architect and SEDD officials met in District 5 at the Emily Robinson Community Center to show proposed neighborhoods.
